Communicating a mission statement

Once you have crafted and tested and accepted your corporate mission statement, you need to make it ‘live’.

To do this you have to do all the same things you did with communicating the vision statement, but you have the opportunity to actually embed the mission into all your subordinate organisational plans.

You may choose to review all your subordinate missions the moment you set your organisational mission or you may choose to embed it at the next event in your planning/objective setting cycle. Whichever option you choose, make sure you don’t forget to carry it through, otherwise that mission statement will just sit and gather dust and slowly damage your reputation!
